Whether you're a native or a newcomer, Greenville County is your home, yor place. Your place is rich in history, peopled with men and women of vision and courage and colorful character—with a few scamps and scoundrels thrown in for good measure.

Your place in history is also here, with the Greenville County Historical Society. As a member of the Society, you will enjoy presentations that highlight the people and events—both known and little-known—which give Greenville County its remarkable heritage. You'll also receive publications of historical interest.

Most of all, you membership helps support the Society's vital work in preserving the letters, documents, publications and pictures which record Greenville's intriguing past. Society projects include:

publishing Greenville's definitive history (Greenville: The History of the City and County in the S.C. Piedmont by A. V. Huff, Jr.)
• preserving the Coxe Collection. This Collection of nearly 100,000 pictures represents the life work of William Coxe, a World War I flying ace who phtographed the county across six decades.
• commemorating historical sites through Heritage Ornaments. Each year the Society brings out a stained glass ornament/suncatcher depicting landmarks such as the Pointsett Hotel and Christ Church.
