Interested in becoming
a member of the Greenville County Historical Society?
Membership is open
to any person who is in agreement with the Purpose of the Greenville County Historical
Society in preserving the area's history from the earliest Native Americans, eighteenth
century settlements, nineteenth and twentieth century industrialization, and forward
to the diverse economy of today.
Members attend three regular scheduled
meetings a year for the presentation of an authoritative paper concerning a person,
structure, or event important to the history of Greenville County.
Members
attend meetings of educational interests on current Historical and newsworthy
topics. These are held in addition to regular yearly meetings and periodically
scheduled.
Members are mailed The New Greenville Mountaineer, a newsletter
published three times a year which contains articles of historical interests and
provides Society news and information on upcoming events.
Members receive
The Proceedings and Papers of the Greenville County Historical Society which is
published periodically.
